They both preach great sermons based upon what they believe, and sometimes say things I don't think God would entirely agree with. I know I don't don't anyway, but am I God? No, but that's also my point.
Save men are perfect, they do not perfectly speak the word of God. When men are perfect, then so will they also perfectly speak the word of God.
When can we know a man speaks perfect words of God? When we are made aware by the prophets saying, "thus saith the Lord......(blah blah blah)." If this is not said, I can leave the words of men as nothing more than opinion to examine as to whether or not it be good. And if the opinion is good, it is of God. Then so shall I also have a testimony of those good things. But of whatsoever thing is evil, I will be sure not to agree on. (Or I'll at least do my best.)
So to speak more of my own personal opinion, I think the prophets should count their lucky stars that God is merciful. He DOES allow priesthood leaders to lead us astray, and even continue to. Sure, the man who's accountable for first leading us astray may die... But not like we're going to notice! They're all old men. Then what's more, God's merciful unto the people who didn't start the iniquities. Or why else do you think God had so much mercy upon the Lamanites for being the words of Laman their father? Just saying.

Mormon prophets = Mormon pastors
